Big news in wound care: XLTA has officially entered the U.S. market. Our debut comes with the launch of the Hydrocapillary Triple-Action™ wound dressing, designed to reduce patient pain, simplify care, and accelerate healing.
A Solution Born from Experience
With over 30 years in wound care, Founder & President Kobie Mouton created Hydrocapillary™ technology to solve the frustrations clinicians and patients face every day.
Unlike traditional dressings that stick, cause pain, or struggle with heavy exudate, Hydrocapillary Triple-Action™ dressings:
Exudate
XLTA® is a super absorbent dressing and has a large fluid storage capacity that retains exudate and body fluid inside the dressing. (hydrophilic/capillary action), it further prevents the escape of exudate and body fluid, thus preventing maceration, and overgranulation.
Bioburden
Even when bacteria are killed on the wound surface, dead organisms remain as debris and can contribute to biofilm formation, complicating wound healing. XLTA® not only removes bacteria, but also clears away debris which may prevent the buildup of biofilms that can stall the healing process.
Harmful Proteases
While antibiotics do not affect proteases, XLTA® modulates protease activity (such as MMPs), preventing tissue degradation and enhancing healing. XLTA® promotes autolytic debridement, which removes dead tissue naturally, ensuring a clean wound bed without harsh chemicals or invasive techniques.
Devitalized Tissue
Autolytic debridement is a natural, non-invasive method of removing dead or devitalized tissue from wounds. It uses the body’s own enzymes and moisture to break down necrotic tissue, ensuring clean wound bed preparation. XLTA® supports and accelerates this process, creating the perfect environment for autolytic debridement by regulating moisture and facilitating the natural removal of debris.
The result? A wound care solution that is cleaner, gentler, and more effective, for both acute and chronic wounds.
Why It Matters
When dressings fail, patients suffer through slower healing, higher infection risks, and unnecessary pain. XLTA’s Hydrocapillary Triple-Action™ technology is here to change that cycle, delivering less pain for patients and less stress for clinicians.
“This dressing has improved my wound care practice. My patients no longer dread dressing changes. The non-adherent surface makes removal gentle and painless, reducing both physical discomfort and the emotional stress that often comes with wound care.”
— Dr. Matthew Regulski, DPM.
